A Little About The Lloyd Family
2/2009 - The differences between a blog and a brag are often subtle but this will not be subtle at all. This is certainly a brag. Sherri and I have taken a few pretty pictures in our time but without a doubt our greatest contribution to the world is our kids. We have two sons, Jeremy and Jordan and they are both married to beautiful girls, Whitney and Ellen.
Our oldest son Jeremy lives in Pace, a small town outside of Pensacola Florida with his wife Whitney. Jeremy is the Minister to Students at Olive Baptist Church and Whitney is a first grade teacher. They sound like the perfect young couple don’t they? Well it gets better. They run marathons and compete in triathlons. Jeremy is a gifted guitar player and worship leader. He often travels to accompany other Christian Musicians.
Our younger son Jordan lives in Jackson Tennessee and is married to Ellen. Jordan works at Englewood Baptist as the Student Worship Minister and he travels the U.S. leading worship for various youth conferences and camps. Ellen works with children and also in the office at Englewwood and she is a college student - soon to graduate. As if this wasn’t enough Jordan is enrolled in The Berkley School of Music. Oh, and they are training to run in the Music City Half Marathon in April with Jeremy and Whitney.
Ok, that’s enough for now but be warned, I plan to write more about my favorite subject later.
8/2010 - It's been a year and a half since my original brag and there have been significant changes in the Lloyd family ranks.
Jeremy is still on staff at Olive Baptist Church but Whitney's job title has changed to 'Stay At Home Mom'. She qualified for this promotion by giving birth to our first grandchild, a beautiful 4 month old little girl named Isabella.
Jordan and Elen have made a couple of changes in their lives. About a year ago Jordan accepted a position as Worship Leader at Mt. Vernon Church, a contemporary baptist church in Columbus Ms. Ellen grauated from college and accepted a postion as ' Stay At Home Soon To Be Mom'. Thats right ladies and gentlemen, in order to guarantee that this is the best year ever, next week Ellen is giving birth to Madelyn. Our 2nd grandbaby girl in one year.
